INTERESTS
Dr. Niklason studies vascular biology and cardiovascular tissue engineering. She is a leader in the engineering of arteries in vitro. Research interests include vascular tissue engineering, adult stem cell differentiation into cardiovascular phenotypes, cardiac tissue engineering, biomimetic culture conditions for cardiovascular tissues, and vascular remodeling as it pertains to disease processes, including vasospasm.
